'Midstream' is a type of shrug that sits somewhere between a shawl and a cardigan. It is the perfect garment to snuggle into in front of the fire or when it is getting a little bit cooler. The beautiful yarn blend of highland wool and Alpaca is soft and squishy with a colour scheme that reflects the Scottish Highlands. 'Midstream' is one of the patterns of the Bold Beginner Knits collection.
'Midstream' is worked as a large long rectangle which is then folded into a shrug with sleeves and finished with an edging around the front and the cuffs - no shaping required! That makes it a suitable project for a beginner knitter with knowledge of knit and purl stitches who wants to tackle something a little bit more challenging.
Available as Kate Davies Yarn Pack which includes the recommended 15 balls of KDD Àrd-Thìr to make this shrug. Main photo shows 'Midstream' worked in colour Kintra.
Please note that this is a yarn pack only. Kate Davies Designs have asked us to refer you to their Ravelry pattern page for separate purchase of the pattern.
The pattern is available as individual pattern or you can buy the KDD Bold Beginner Knits booklet which includes this and several other patterns.
In addition (not included), you need 80cm long circular knitting needles size 6mm or size to achieve correct tension plus smaller sized needles for the cuffs.
