Large Poncho-Shawl in ggh Bambu - Rebecca Knit Kit
A large poncho-style shawl with a lace pattern. The cut is super simple - the poncho is worked straight up in one piece and divided for the front.
The lace pattern and the slip stitch pattern for the side edges are not difficult as long as you know how to work basic knit and purl stitches plus yarn overs and standard decreases. You will find that after a few rows you will have memorised the pattern and won't even need to look at the instructions any more.
Yes, you do need a bit of patience because this is a large shawl. But the yarn is soft and beautiful and the final product looks great and has so many uses! Throw over on a cool day, use it as a romantic shawl or maybe combine it with a belt?
Available as Rebecca Knit Kit, including a free pattern download and the recommended amount of yarn. One size fits all. Poncho measures 1m from hem to shoulder.
Yarn: ggh Bambu, 900g.
The main image shows poncho worked in 003 celadon green.
In addition (not included), you need knitting needles size 3.5mm. We recommend circular needles with enough cord length to accommodate all stitches (eg 80cm or longer).
