Contemporary Irish Knits _ I Wool Knit book reviewEvery now and again I come across some truly beautiful knitting books.

The two titles I am reviewing today definitely belong into the 'must have' category if you like colour work or cable knitting.

"Contemporary Irish Knits" by Carol Feller contains many gorgeous Aran or cable knit patterns for jumpers, cardigans and various accessories.

Carol Feller also includes an introduction to the history of wool and knitting in Ireland, all accompanied by stunning photos of the Irish country side.

All patterns are in multiple sizes and there is something for everyone and every style - children and adults, casual to elegant, this book has you covered.

Scottish Knits book review_I Wool Knit"Scottish Knits" by Martin Storey takes you on a journey to Scottish knitting traditions with amazing colour work and easy to follow patterns, ranging from hats, scarves and shawls to jumpers and jackets.

It also includes some cable patterns, again with gorgeous photos of Scotland that just makes you want to experience the land and its knitting history.

Both books are aimed at the more experienced knitter.
